Red Rocket Readers are another New Zealand originated reading series that has achieved International awards (see link above) and are used in schools in USA, Canada, UK, Australia, Japan, Ireland and now in Hong Kong. The author and series editor, Pam Holden, has over 30 years specialist experience in literacy, worked as a Reading Recovery teacher helping struggling pupils on a one-to- one basis as well as well as those approaching English as a second language (See http://www.redrocketreaders.com/author.htm)

There are 320 titles in Red Rocket Readers series starting from Pre-School through to Level 21-22 (See Levels Guide http://www.redrocketreaders.com/Levels.htm) are available as individual hard copy books or in sets of 8 readers in e-book format. The publishers recognise that kids today – especially boys – love anything on computers so Red Rocket e-books on a PC break that “Baby Book” barrier.
